I just hope that this thing is an actual fact finding commision and not just a "here's a chance to twist the facts so that we can elect Kerry" kind of thing.

Well, the news media will sure try to cast their man Bill C & the Dems in the best light they can, you can bank on that. And of course, cast Geo Bush Jr. in the worst light.

From what I've seen, It's a exercise in revisionist history.

I don't remember all those screaching, loudmouthed Democratic senators being very concerned about terrorism pre 9-11.

Yesterday's snipits on Yahoo News seemed pretty unbiased, in fact most of the "failures" that were listed came from 1995 to 2000.  Of course they couldn't just blame Billy Boy, they stated that Bush didn't care enough about it and didn't listen to this Clarke guy who is making all this noise.

One thing that was mentioned is how this Clarke was a hold over from the Clintoon administration, something that the news media is really avoiding when they run stories.  This guy was barking at Clinton to take Osama when the Sudan offered him and Clinton and his advisors were afraid of causing problems since they couldn't find a "legitimate" reason to detain him.

That was the theme of all of the findings from the Clinton years.  He had chances to take out Osama, dismantle Al Quadea, etc. and the only thing that stopped him was him.  He was afraid of what the international community would think, he was afraid of being caught breaking laws, (ha, ha!) and tied the CIA's hands.

Bush was only in office for what, 9 months when 9-11 happened.  Yet the news media is blaming him like its all his fault.
