My Dad was Navy during 'Nam, on the Forrestal and the Saratoga. My mother consantly kicks her self for talking my dad into getting out after seven years and 3 Naval OCS invitations.

Paternal Grand Father was career Air Force, but started out as an Army Engineer in WWII. Was Drill Instructor and a Chaplain's Assistant. Was a guard at the Nueremburg(?) Trials.

Maternal Grand Father (adopted my mother, but still was my grandfather as far as I was concerned) was Navy during WWII. Was a landing boat crewman at Normandy on D-Day.

USMC--Corporal, 7242 (Air Support Operations), 87-92

Went to MCRD at San Diego, school at 29 Palms, two years at MCAS Futenma (great job there, we got to deploy a lot--saw a lot of Korea and some great times in Thailand), last two years at Cherry Point (pine swamps and people sucked, most deployments were to the 2507 in Cali, but I did have one fun stay in Norway following some suck ass survival training where I froze)

Michigan Army National Guard 92-98. I was an MP, and in 96 clinton called us up for reelection. I spent a year AD in the army doing law enforcement work and it really sucked being 1) in the army, and 2) in the clinton army, and 3) being the po-po in the clinton army.
