George Takei, famous for his role as Sulu on "Star Trek", as well as his more recent role as an Internet-conquering social-media star, has joined the ranks of Bruce Willis and One Direction by offering his own branded perfume. The spray-on cologne is dubbed "Eau My," a punny reference to his catchphrase, "Oh myyyyy." |

George has done what was once impossible: Come out of the closet and grow MORE popular and RICHER because of it. I care not what gets him horny. I'm just glad for anybody who's earning his own living and not leeching off the rest of us via welfare and other unearned entitlements. CJ |

Didn't Takei just do an interview with Al Jazeera? Where he called Tea Party Republicans crazy lunatics?
ETA: yes... it appears that he did. |

Fellers.... I believe he's a Gay Bro.... - Clint Quoted:
Fellers.... I believe he's a Gay Bro.... - Clint Yep, and a funny son of a bitch too, who handles his sexual preference in a way I wish all homosexuals would - with good humor, and a "whats the big deal" type attitude. From his wikipedia bio In May 2011, in response to a Tennessee State Legislature bill that prohibited school teachers or students from using any language that alludes to the existence of homosexuality (the "Don't Say Gay" bill), Takei released another PSA in which he offered up his name, suggesting that people could just substitute that for 'gay'. For example, they could support Takei Marriage or watch Takei Pride Parades; or even use slurs like That's so Takei.

It's much like AR15 voting for the "lesser evil" on a regular basis as what seems to be discussed here the most. Why would you have any respect for a party that says you, your significant other, friend, relative, or son or daughter is less of a person then they are?
It's a fundamental human right and the Republican party are fools for it ever coming to this. Their views do exactly as George says. It weakens the party. I have friends who have gay friends and family members. I don't fault any of them for their views, but NONE of them vote Republican because of that single issue. Taken nationwide, I'd assume that millions vote democrat based upon this issue alone. It's a civil rights issue, plain and simple. The republican party needs to get away from religion and social engineering. George talked about it a while ago in a blog here The Gorilla in Their Midst "It’s no surprise that I’m a Democrat. I’m a gay man, I got married to my husband Brad, and I don’t particularly like being told my marriage should be invalidated because I don’t have the same rights as other people. But mind you, I don’t forget that it was a Democratic President (FDR) who abused his power 70 years ago and put my family and me in an internment camp without charge, trial or cause. Now that was Big Government at its very worst. So I am leery of excessive government power or control of any kind. That’s why I want to take a moment here to talk about the 800 pound gorilla in the room: To ask why the GOP has allowed itself to be hijacked by extremists who aren’t Republican at all...." |
