How would I go about voicing my disapproval about how my Governor, and representatives vote for the POTUS?

We have cast our votes and and Obama lost!  But Brad Henry and J C Watts feel they should cast there votes just contrary to the popular Vote!

Whom can we write and voice our opiouns against them and make it felt!

Your Governor and Reps can vote for any candidate they want.

Maybe I'm missing your point.

When JC Watts said he might vote for Obama, he meant personally, in the national election.

Nevermind that whole "Obama is a democrat, McCain is a Republican, so your GOP delegates can't vote for Obama anyways" thing.  IF Watts and whoever else you were talking about are even delegates.

TL;DR: put the bottle down.

I believe the point BobbyJack is making is that they were elected to represent the people who elected them.

It is undisputable that their vote is their business. But they've clearly betrayed the majority and those that they were elected to represent, when they start voting for the opposition. They should keep they're contrary vote to themselves.

However, if they were to endorse McCain it would not be a betrayal of they're constituency.

They're traders, plain and simple.

The act of endorsing one who goes lockstep against those you've sworn to represent is a gross act of betrayal. They should pay a dear price. IMO

Such betrayal should be punished at the ballot box.

I see your point.  However, Brad Henry is a Democrat, so no surprise there that he will vote for Obama.

As far as Watts, he is no longer an elected official for Colorado.  I agree it would be harmful for his career to come out for Obama.  Probably would have been better for him just to keep his mouth shut, and cast his vote in private.

Like you said, their vote is their own business.  They have the right to vote for whoever they want, even if it means crossing party lines.

No By God it's not thier right to vote for whomever they feel like!  It should be their duty to vote the way the Majority of the state voters feel!

I   just would like to know whom I can address this to?

I'm sure there are others that have a game plan to voice there  feelings about this!

I just want to add my vote to this!

Must be a full moon out there.

The idea that an elected official's personal vote should be tied to the will of the voters in their respective state is an absolute ridiculous idea.

How do you handle it:  Write a letter to your Governor.  Write a letter to JC Watts.  Don't ever vote for them.  Start your own grassroots movement to change the US Constitution so that elected officials no longer have the freedom to vote for who they want.  Lay off whatever you are drinking or smoking.

Best of luck.

How about don't spend or waist tax payers moneys on voteing boxes to actually say whom they want!

Why have a Popular vote if the decision is in the hands of people that can be bought with money or bribes? The Electorial Votes system does not work!

But even when a  State like Oklahoma votes for Hillary (because we hate her but know that she will have a harder time winning against Barrack) then Our Governer and representatives give her opponunt the nod!

I voted in The Dem Gov  because I wanted a Check and ballance, but not a Chicken Shit Turn Coat!

The people of Oklahoma voted and it was not Obama!

Is being drunk the best you got Punk?

I'm very sober and really scared of you crack head Obama suporters!

Bob

That sir is what is wrong with our system,I know that large states with little populace would have little vote!

Yes they can vote for who they want to vote for when they are in the voter booth.

Now if you are referring to the deligate votes at a national convention which decides who is going to run for that party, then yes I agree they should cast those votes in the way the people decided at the run offs.

I think you didn't make yourself very clear in that you are referring to their casting their votes as members of the Electoral College, and not their personal votes in the General Election. Therein lies the confusion.
