Hello, all!

I've been lurking and looking at all the cigar stuff for awhile. I intend to purchase everything I need to get a Coolerdor, but everything will need to come incrementally as I have a baby coming next month (FYI, baby stuff is pretty expensive :(. I saw a decent price on Pinar Del Rio's on CI and ordered a bunch, and I also plan on getting some nicer cigars to celebrate after the birth.

Between now and when I actually get everything together for the Coolerdor, what is the best way to store my sticks?

Small desktop humidor should do you for a while

E.T.A. too bad you are in WA I've got a metric crap ton of baby stuff to rid myself of.

Ziplock bags with humipacks work just fine for a few weeks.

Tupperware, Rubbermaid, or similar plastic container and a couple of small Boveda packs or one regular sized should do the trick just fine. I don't like ziplock bags as they offer no crush protection

Dude...the baby stuff is worth putting your life and hobbies on hold for a bit.

while I'll agree, it sounds like he has a few on hand he would like to store properly.

The above advice about a rubbermaid container that seals shouls hold you over for now.

I stand corrected. Saw this in Active Threads and didn't realize it was in a tech forum. My apologizes!

Run away. The desktop one lasts about a week, then you are into coolers and finally turning a portion of your basement into a humidor.
Sigh.

Seriously for a few start with a desktop one, no glass. I have to keep my glass one next to a vent and in the dark to maintain the right humidity.

I've always had problems with small desktop humi's and keeping them seasoned, humidity right, etc.  Now I have a Lock & Lock (plastic rubbermaid box about the size of a big shoebox that has gaskets, cheap at Target) with some heartfelt beads and it's easy peasy to properly keep the few sticks I keep on hand.  It's not pretty, but it's super efficient and cheap. Just let it breathe every so often.
