No. Its smart. The IRA broke an attack or ambush down into very small cells where members had a small but specific role to play. The big question is, who shot first. We only see a little glimpse of the action. Obviously something prompted the guy to draw. He looks around for a target, lets a shot off. A bullet hits the building behind him, several more shots are heard. I go with antifa taking a pot shot at the guy, he draws and returns fire, they keep shooting at him, he retreats. Clear self-defense.
