#2: SIGs product support sucks. They pull the rug out without warning

#3: Is their stuff really that ground breaking

#4: Not taking chances. They can beta test their own shit

It is time for folks to realize the truth.  Currently there is ZERO, repeat ZERO, 100 percent verified/repeatable proof that the current bone stock/unmodified p320 can fire without the trigger being pulled.  And people have been trying for years to show what they FEEL may be an issue, somewhat justifiably so.

The drop issue was easily verified and repeatable.  It has been addressed because the problem was real.

Sadly, how much damage has the - boy who cried wolf - crowd caused.  How many people have carelessly handled firearms and blamed sig/the gun for their failures to properly handle firearms, and gotten VALIDATION for doing so from so many emotionally based folks?  THAT is something the gun community needs to address.

Sig may not do it, but the rational folks need to demand that it is time to PUT UP or SHUT UP about the 320.  It has been years and NO ONE has successfully done so.   No more  monkeyed with videos, no more screwed in trigger pulled videos, no gut feelings or intuition, no speculation.  Show 100 percent verifiable/repeatability of the so called issue.

The real question is how does - the boy who cried wolf - crowd respond…

If someone can truly show the issue, the rational folks will stand behind them.  But right now, the boy who cried wolf, is not looking good.

Is this an objective improvement in a quantifiable way, or another onslaught of influencer marketing?

It's still a crappy pistol that has for its only merits 1) winning a contract by "fiscally incentivizing" the people in charge of the contract and 2) being not a Glock for contrarians. The P320 is a half-baked and failed DA/SA kludged into a mediocre striker fire pistol that may or may not shoot you and takes insta-rust magazines double the price of what they should be.

The cult level of fanaticism is why they are still around.

They aren't the Sig of the 90s and early 2000s

Public are the beta testers. Buddy bought an MPX when they came out. Steaming of shit. Went back at least twice that I know of. Most guns now are Pajeet specials.

Yet still the wide  eyed Jim Jones level  of adoration and dedication remains as seen by the OP.

I did love my 220 though. But that was essentially a different a company at this point.

The roll-out on the P385 is really nice; several easy to understand versions of the same pistol, really good web interface, new optic to go along with the new pistols, new style screw-on comp, a couple more P365 versions and P320 magazine compatiblilty.  Plus, they are keeping the P320 available as a big "Screw you" to all of the naysayers.
Makes the Glock roll-out of the Gen 6 look like amatuer hour.

Nobody can deny the success of the entire P365 line, I bet the P385 sells even better.

While the rest of the industry flounders, SIG is getting shit done.

And.....correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure they have won every single lawsuit regarding the P320 to date.

Sig doesn't support any model discoed

I guess it's something they release new shake awake pistols every couple years

I'm glad there are so many other firearms manufacturers that I can choose from that I don't have to worry about whether Sig's new pistol is safe or not.  I can simply select a different manufacturer that hasn't even been accused of selling defective firearms.

I don't even need to get into the discussion of whether the P320 pistols are actually defective or not, or whether sig has won all the lawsuits or not.  Where there is smoke, there is usually fire somewhere, and because of that I'll just spend my money somewhere else.

No shit

I have one from the first two months they were released, might have a little over 1000rd through it.

I remember carrying it feeling so proud and then the UD videos came out and a few weeks later SIG sent me a shipping label.

So not only did SIG earn the spot as the first firearm I had to return, I was carry a known unsafe handgun for a few days.

We can argue these things happen, but for me that has never happened.

Yea I have owned two SIG firearms, SIG556 when they first came out and a P320. Neither turned out to be a stellar experience.

I will stick with KAC, DD, Colt, Geessele and Glock.

Sad really as Sig produces some good firearms, just seems the P320 no longer has my interest. Mine sits in a box with a handful of their overpriced mags.

Yet my Glocks just perform as boringly reliable and accurate as ever.

Parts, price, cheaper mags just continue to make the Glock still king for me. Plus all my P80 frame Glocks are even better.

I think the P320 is a good looking pistol and was excited when my wife bought me one for my birthday, that excitement was short lived.

Interestingly, IMO, its all the semi-hated manufacturers(disappoint manufacturers?) that bring the most original product to the handgun market... SIG of course is always busy introducing something new, as is Springfield(I'd put them at #1 for diverse offerings rather than multiple models in the same line) and of course everyone's darling, Kimber .. who's also keeping busy constantly introducing new products.

the other two can't match SIG in the slickness and reach of their publicity machine tho.. perhaps because SIG is worldwide and military

Yeah.....about that....

It's not so much that a particular Sig likes to fire on its own......it's how Sig handled that whole situation. Gaslighting their customers is not a good look.

SiUgh ExeTurd sucks ass. They can’t seem to roll out any firearms (other than the 365) without having teething issues that get foisted onto end users. The 320, MCX, M7, M250 - all complete turds.

They have never seen anything like the profitability they have now. Their business and ability to go into optics, etc was built on the decisions made back then. Those decisions piled on one another leading to objecting to the GAO objection where they claimed reviewers put too high a price on reliability, the FAMS debacle going public (and several DHS officials catching charges over it) the Indian P365 parts breaking, and ultimately the 320 shake awake shooting people controversy.

Bad decisions run in packs and that's never been more evident than watching this develop over the last couple of decades.

Surprisingly the Taurus TX22 has been a top seller this year.

What shocks me is after decades how well the Glock 19 my favorite handgun continues to sell.

I think their response to the bad design was more of an issue than the design, which was bad enough.

They are now a company that engages in lobbying the military to sell them hot garbage while living on their past success-the 22x series handguns.

The P22x series is apples and oranges to their polymer crap.

WTF does bashing Glock have to do with Sig’s issues?  And yes there have been numerous flaws found in the early release of their polymer guns.
