Ok, been wanting a Sig for awhile, and I've pretty much decided on the 320.
Guess I need to find a LGS that has a few in stock, leaning towards a compact sight unseen. I'd really like a SC, but want to keep it a decent compromise between a full size home gun and pocket carry gun. I have pocket guns galore, but want something with decent capacity and accuracy to match. I hate wearing IWB rigs, but if the gun is sweet enough I might have to start. If anyone has first hand pros/cons of Compact vs Subcompact, love to hear them. |

I shot the FS and compact.
Freakin' awesome gun. I like the FS for capacity but the compact fit my hand like it was custom molded. If I ever recover financially from the divorce, I'm getting a P320 full size slide on a compact frame in 9x19mm. I'd buy a compact and see if it works for you. From there you can go bigger or smaller as needed. |

I have a p320 sc in 9mm. I really like it. Trigger is better than the Glock 19s I'm used to. It started it's life as a p320 compact. Too big for me to carry and we can only have 10 round mags here. I'm a smaller guy at 5 6 and 160. The small compact grip does feel really great.

Never cared for striker-fired handguns until I tried a P320 Compact 9mm. I now own 3 (w/the APEX flat trigger, a must-have in my book) that rotate between EDC, training/backup & nightstand duty.
I used to own the P250 compact & subcompact, I could shoot the sc almost as well as the compact but prefer the larger grip of the compact (used to EDC a P250 hybrid w/sc slide & compact frame, that was sweet!). Tomac |

Can someone post a picture or two showing a tape measure against the front and rear grip straps showing their length?
This is how most of us can quickly decide what frame size is best for our use. Searching this site and the internets turned up nothing useful on the P320. It never ceases to amaze me how most handgun comparisons are " My old love, X against my new love, Y " instead of simply quantifying the gun in question. |

Its a sub-forum in "Sig Pistols". |

I like the medium frame. I have a G22 that fits my hand by size, but I don't shoot it well. It just doesn't point very well for me. I have a P320 in full size medium frame and compact size with both small and medium frame. (Wife likes the small frame and I use the medium) G19 Gen 3, note that the measurement is from the leading edge of the finger grooves. " />

Welp.....
Called around and found a P320 Compact standard sights, 2 15 rd mags, and basic paddle style non-retention holster for $479 at Simmons in Bessemer. Got there and it was standing room only at the counter, but managed in and out under 30 min. There's my Christmas present from my wife. Mikey likes it. This thing feels great in my hand, may not even need the SC grip. Look forward to taking it to the range next weekend when family comes in. Will post AAR. |

I ordered a sub compact and full size 9mm. I picked the gun up to try it out and was sold. The trigger is great and it pointed naturally for me. I was going to buy a g26, but the SC I loved and the g26 was just a tool.
If I like them, I'll pick up a carry sized next year. I think I'll be pleased. I also want to pick up an FN FNS 9mm. Very nice weapon. |

Quoted: Recent thread on this a few days ago here in GD. Some guys had experience with them. If you don't get the answers you need, or want to read more, search it up. I can't wait to try one. The last advice from here (that I was going to convey to my buddy) was to have him get the Compact vs the Subcompact. I hadn't had a chance to talk to him about it before he sent me a message, "I bought it!!" He actually ended up buying the Compact anyway, lol. He liked it better than the SC frame he originally held. I took him shooting (again, his first pistol), and he shot really well. The gun ran great, though he was only about to put around 130 rds through it. I shot a half mag and it grouped really well. Seems like a nice pistol! |

Not really a fan. High bore, weird grip angle, obtrusive takedown lever when shooting and will make you bleed with a thumbs forward grip. The modularity is cool for cleaning and stuff and the triggers are nice. Yes This! The bore axis height over grip is way too much for a striker fired gun. I haven't shot one but I'm pretty sure it obeys the laws of mechanics. The reason for the bore height of course is becasue it's a hammer fire gun that has been "rigged" into a striker gun. I don't understand the what all the hoopla is about with them. Maybe it's other desirable traits like ultra reliability.Or maybe Travis and Chris Costa just released another video with them using P320's. |
