| I love this song. Other than Pink Floyd, what are some others like it? |
Absoufrigginlutley!!!! I love that song. The Green Man, from the same CD (October Rust) is another good one, somewhat vaugely similar to Silend Lucidity. Actually, they have quite a few like that. -K |
Guilty conscience maybe? ETA: Major Tom by I don't remember who. Kinda eerie. |
AHHHH Queensryche, haven't heard them in a long time. When I was younger I F**ked the Base Players neice while my buddy had her friend. We were cruising one night up in Hazeldell, WA. She had long brown hair, HUGE bewbies and was riding me like a cowboy all night long. She was younger than me 15 I think at the time.

That's a good one. I also like his version of Everybody Knows (it was in the movie Pump up the Volume, but the soundtrack version has the Concrete Blonde version). Speaking of Concrete Blonde, I also like the song Caroline. |
Holy crap! He did 'Everybody Knows'?? I was so mad when I bought the soundtrack to Pump up the Volume...I wanted the one from the movie and they put the Concrete Blonde one on there!!! |
Check out his "Murder Ballads", too. With such awesome favorites as "Red Right Hand". Now that's a SONG, dammit. |
He Vocalist/bassist Johnette Napolitano -- a brunette Kim Gordon -- and ex-Sparks guitarist Jim Mankey composed the core of L.A. pop punks Concrete Blonde. I'm going to go put Blootletting on now. |
Thanks for the suggestion, guys - I think I'm going to have to get October Rust. |
Your so welcome me-lady. |
what is that? a partial list of bands that are 1000x better than Queensryche? |
|
The lead singer has been quoted as saying Pink Floyd is one of Queensryche's major influences. The song Silent Lucidity is an homage. |
It's very much a copy, er, "homage" to Comfortably Numb. One of the solos is also quite reminiscent of "Any Colour You Like" from DSOTM. |
Agreed. You ever read Echoes? |
+2...both awesome songs. How about 'Don't Cry' by Guns n Roses? 'If you Leave' by OMD? |
