I was looking at silver bullion on ebay and noticed that some are labeled as "100 mil .999 silver" and some as "15 grains .999 silver". What is the difference between the two? Are they both pure silver?

It ain't bullion if it says mils. Mils is the thickness of the silver plating. The plating may be 99.9% pure silver, but the stuff under  is probably copper.

As for the reference to grams, its the weight of the silver (15 grams = .525 oz).

I see. So anything thats an ounce of pure silver will say exactly that on it. Thanks.
