I smell it every night when I get home. Do they mark their territory or something? Is there anything I can spray or do to keep it away?
I haven't even seen it yet. I have the pellet gun at ready. Any other suggestions?

Spray 7.62x39 liberally and reapply as needed. We used to have a skunk problem a couple years back but we cleared em out after a while.

Sneak up on it when it is not looking. Get real close.
Wave your arms above your head and yell loudly.
They HATE loud noises and rapid movements, it will scurry away and not return.
Simple and effective.

Moth balls.
Get a box or two, place balls around house. Skunks just hate them.

Buy some coyote or fox urine at a feed store & a couple of the applicator bottles they sell.
I ran one out of my woodpile using coyote urine. Nasty stuff. Dont spill any on your clothes.

Got this advice last year when one decided that under my house was a great place to stay. It worked!
