My whole fucking house smells like skunk and dog, wife and myself are not happy. He came in puking foul shit all over my house before I found him. This is year 2 of this-suburb/ track homes. Bad skunks. Can't shoot. I want them dead. Is it worth paying a trapper?

Live trap the skunk, dispatch it in some legal way. If the trap is the right size you can approach from the front, so it can't turn and spray, grab the trap with a pole and drop it in a waiting trashcan of water.

Also, your wife will love you if you wash the dag in dawn dish soap.

If laws allow you to use a gun to get rid of nuisance animals, 22 super colibris work well and don't piss off neighbors, or just use a pellet gun. Skunks aren't hard to kill.

A dog is the only animal that will get sprayed by a skunk and not learn.

If the skunk comes back next week, ol' Fido will be on him as fast as he can.

You may be right but I think a city dag might learn. My buddy's dag spotted a scorpion in the new house in the desert and was like "I want no part of that" and got the fuck away.

You clearly aren't familiar with English bulldogs. They are fuzzy furniture that farts. They have zero other use in this world

That is a great idea. I will pickup some long range bear spray. I hardly ever see the fuckers, but I would giggle my ass off if I could hose one with OC

First, dogs live outside and don't come into the house. Second, your dog is stupid and shows no signs of getting any smarter. [Edit, you id your pet's learning disability and maybe because of an attachment disorder are unable to let go...sorry it happens to all dog owners we keep them till they go paws up, so you are stuck with a retarded dog.]  Third, get a pellet rifle and kill the skunk, or just poison the fucker.

IANAL and you should check some laws before doing the above in bold. I live in the country and would just use a .22 pistol to dispatch the problem, city dwelling sucks that way.

Had several dogs over the years. I live in a very rural area with alot of skunks. some have learned fast, others never did.

One especially would run like hell till he go close enough to identify,  then lock it up and run the other direction. Its funny how some remember past encounters

Why did you let the dog back into the house after he was sprayed?

Don't leave the door open for him -

1) Not safe
3) If he gets sprayed you can hose him off outside
