***Tinfoil hat on Think Skynet will think about Oil and resources for its own future? |

No it will simply create the matrix and use human clones as batteries. Didn't Aliens make the Matrix? I thought the Matrix created itself, from the results of humans. The philosophy behind the Matrix blew my damn mind. For some reason that is a movie I have never watched. Same as the LOTR movies. Everyone says how great it is, just havent got around to it yet. |

Skynet will likely not use oil until drilling, pumping, transport, storage, distillation, and transport of final product is done with much less human interaction. The machines would likely use nuclear, solar, and geothermal energy.
Skynet would strike oil resources to prevent/retaliate against survivors trying to mount a counter-attack. ETA: I guess to fucking prevent since I went and put this in it's goddamn database so it will have it for planning purposes. FUCK! |

You should see it, but do yourself a favor and stop after the first one. I loved #1, but #2 and #3 ruined it for me, and Its just not the same anymore. |

Also watch ' Animatrix " it explains how the machines built the matrix after they defeated the humans in the great war. Briefly explains the time span from when it started to when the first Matrix movie starts. |

Skynet may see the Gulf as the ideal storage area for all those useful hydrocarbons brought to the surface by artesian forces. With it's disregard for all biological life it probably sees the situation as quite efficient for it's own needs.
Kinda like the Progressive Movement

Quoted: Quoted: Skynet will use all nuclear energy. In the T3 movie didn't the goobernator remove a small nuclear reactor from his chest and throw it out the window, resulting a small nuclear explosion? I think the technical term was "fusion battery" although I'm not sure how a fusion battery would differ from a fusion reactor. |

The first Matrix was great. Two and three were OK, but were ruined with excessive CGI and fight scenes. The philosophical portion, mainly discussed in part 3, was interesting and didn't detract from the movie. |
