i've seen alot of online auctions for bullets that state, "slight pull marks" on thier reloading supplies. does this really make a diffrence in the way the bullet performs?

just curios, because even if it is millitary surplus, one wouldnt expect it to be match quality ammo. so would it really make a difference?

still good stuff right?

It SHOULD function...but that is about all you can expect. You have to be extremely careful with reloads.

Where did you find this stuff?

i see it all the time on gunbroker and auctionarms.com

all calibers too. 50, 30, .224

just wondering if it would be something to stay away from.

My only advice to you is to avoid reloads at all costs unless you know what you are getting into...there are some fantastic reloads, but you should go with something more concrete than an online auction...get Black Hills or another proven brand for high quality reloads, otherwise stay away from em!

I assume that you don't know how they are loaded, perhaps they are too hot and won't function, possibly result in a KaBoom or worse.
[grenade] (just seemed relevant) Know your ammo.

its not fully loaded ammo i am talking about.

its just the bullet. not the brass\powver\primer

just the bullet.

i wouldnt touch loaded ammo unless it was loaded by the manufacuer in the sealed box.

O...Ok. Sorry. Then they will definately work, possibly even well. A slight pull mark (depending on what "slight" means) whould only minimally affect accuracy.

i use them a LOT for blasting ammo. I get very close to the same performance as with new. at distance i have no doubt accuracy will suffer some. But for inside 200yrds they do fine.
