I are upgrading to smartphones in February when we are eligible for our Verizon upgrade.
I upgrading to a smart phone when my Verizon upgrade is available in February. I am consider the following phones and wanted to get input from anyone about the pro's and con's of each 1) Motorola Razr Maxx (same as the razr but with a bigger battery) 2) Samsung Galaxy S3 (why does this phone has a smaller battery, but standby time is much longer than the Raxr Maxx?) 3) Iphone 5 I am really leaning toward the Razr Maxx due to the longer battery life - but still open to thoughts.. We are Mac/Apple users, but there is an app for Android phones that allow you to load your iTunes onto the droid phone. Thoughts. Suggestions Brian |

If you're apple users it seems it would make more sense to stick with that. I can't stand Apple or Iphones so I'd go with the S3, but I don't know much about the RAZR. I agree with this. I'm done with apple products myself and would get an S3, but if you are already familiar with the Apple format and Itunes, I would stick to that and go iPhone 5. |

If you want battery life, go with the Razr Maxx. I have one and can get two days worth of battery life with a pretty good usage rate.
The Maxx will get the Jelly Bean update in the first quarter of this year. I already have it, though I am rooted, but you can get it without root. Verizon released it December 24 on accident and since pulled it. I would not get an Iphone. Just my .02cents I am not a Android fan boy but I can do a lot more coding and such with my Android phone and tablet than any Apple product. |

thanks for the input..
On another forum someone inferred that the Motorola was NOT a "true" android phone, while the S3 is.. to quote them "the razr is motorolas skin on android" There is an apple iTunes APP you can download to the android phones - so use of any of them as an iPod is covered thanks brian |

Any Android other than the ones Google releases are not True Android then. Hell the HTC's are covered up versions, and the S3 is especially. The crap they hide on those phones is ridiculous. The HTC's at one time had a explicit that reported text, phone calls and data to the cell phone carrier. I had that crap removed within a week, when the coder found it. |
