I agree 100%. Those 3in round butt k-frames are excellent CCW revolvers. As for me... no 686 here (I had a 686+ 20 years ago but traded it), just a number of k-frames of various configurations, a number of j-frames of various configurations including a Model 60 with 3in barrel and night sights, and a single L frame Model 69. :) |

I had a 686 no-dash back in the 80's that was my first duty revolver. I currently have a 4-inch 586 no dash with a AAA serial number. I also have a no dash 681.

The only 686 I really wanted was one of the 3" "Customs" guns. Mainly because I love 3" revolvers.

I preferred other guns for range days and it was too big to carry concealed. At the crazy prices these things bring it made more sense to sell it. A 3" 686 is not like a 3" M65. |
