The blueberry muffins on the right jump out at me. See, I have a soft spot for those muffins. When my wife and I were newlyweds, way back when, we were totally poor, scrimping and saving up money for a downpayment on a house, and we shopped for groceries at the local craphole Meijer. We used coupons all the time etc., and never bought name-brand. We bought store brand, or the cheap stuff to eat (including lots of Ramen noodles) and all that. And every so often we'd come home with one package of their store-baked blueberry muffins. The kind with the sweet crumblies on them. They were our only real treats for the first, oh, five years of being married. So not only do I love the way they taste, I have that memory of how we were 13 years ago when we were younger and skinnier and eager and less knowledgeable about the real world. They were good times. We had each other, a couch and bed and a few other things, and a 1 bedroom apartment. Don't ask me why I typed that. It's totally lame. It means somethng to me though. Enjoy the snacks. Save a blueberry muffin for us. |
damn...and to think i was gonna get rice crispy squares instead... |
How is beef jerky not healthy (aside from salt)? High protein, low fat, no carbs, no sugar ... ? |
Look it up. I was a fitness trainer for 5 years. I'ver heard of many worse snacks. Obviously posted for this topic. And what do you consider healthy? |
Dunno what you're talking about when you say "look it up". Is there a wikipedia of snacks or something? Beef jerky sounds like a healthy snack to me (based on the factors I mentioned above). The only thing that is wrong with jerky is salt. |
