No one has posted any pics of there snakes yet in the pet pics thread. I would post pics but I don't even own a camera. So you people that own cameras should post, or come to my house, take pics, then post.

Do I go to the dog threads  and express my disslike for dogs?

I asked for pics, not BS comments. If you don't like snakes feel free to tell those in the dog threads.

Here a few of my 3 snakes:

Charlie is a juvenile Blue Beauty (Asian Ratsnake).  He has a lot of green/brown coloring now, but that will change to a blue/gray. He will get 7 or 8 feet long.

What snakes do you breed? I like snakes a lot and plan on owning a few once I get back to the states.

My two, a ball python and a red-tail boa.  The python is Aleera, she's a little over 1 year old and measures about 2 1/2 feet.  Zeke is the boa.  He's about 4 1/2 feet long, and about 2 1/2 years old.

Sorry for the bad pics, but it seems that's the only kind I know how to take

I've wanted a yellow eyelash viper for about 15 years, but I've always been too scared I might mess up and get hit, or it'd get out somehow. I think I'd crap my pants if it got loose cause of the dogs and cat.

*this is not my pic, just posting it for reference*

The Amazon Tree Boas are the most unpredictable in my opinion. There are days that I can hook her out of her cage and pick her up with no problems. On the other hand there are days she is so nasty I can get her water bowl out of her cage with out getting bit.

It depends on how good of a grip they get. They can leave a nasty mark. I didn't have a Tree but I took a few shots from my Boa its less then pleasant.

My favorite was an Amethystine Python. He was about 7' and beautiful when I had to sell him . Wish I had taken some pics.

OP, you don't by chance breed GTP's do you? I've been thinking about getting back into it for one of these beauties

Green Tree Pythons are just wicked looking. If I was going to get a snake again it would be one of those.

I got bit by a Burmese python I had, she was young and only about 6ft, but I got hit pretty good, the hardest part was trying not to panic and just waiting for her to let go. I did it, but barely. Just a bunch of needle type holes that bled but not enough to run and drip or anything, just about 15 pin pricks.

What's the disposition of GTP's? are they like burmese pythons or red tail boas in that if you get a juvie and handle it often, They're easy to maintain? I heard from a guy that they like to be left alone and it's best not to handle them cause they stress easy or something.

I really wanted one until I read that they are fairly anti social and dont hesitate to put the bite on.  Although there is an episode on snakebyte.tv where they are at a reptile show and there is a GTP breeder (IIRC) who has one out and is handling it.  She basically said "He isnt happy about being handled, but he isnt biting either"

Plus they have some HUGE teeth that would defintely leave a mark.
