tonight was a apparently a little to much Shiner Gin.  I did not count the shots - but but the called to me to keep refilling the glass.

The MI liquor laws set a minimum price for every bottle of liquor in stores.
The only way a store can go lower is to agree not to stock that bottle for a year.  Most stores don’t, they just swap the bottles back with the distributor.

Meijer does it once or twice a year.

I got laphroig quarter cask for $38 a bottle.  Enjoying a bottle now.

I got five bottles.

Got a bunch of stocking stuffers for friends.

Really low proof aka: watered down.
Purty bottle though.

I love Bulleit Rye, but I hadn’t tried the bourbon. There was a great deal on a holiday gift pack so I grabbed one. I may have found a new go-to bourbon. Attachment Attached File

There is nothing special about Bulleit whisky to me but their Rye is exceptional imo.

I think Bulleit bourbon tastes just fine, and for under $30 and easy to find it’s a solid choice.  Haven’t tried their SiB or 10 year yet.

Picked up a bottle of Jameson today. My very first bottle and taste of Irish whiskey. Impressed to say the least! Never knew distilled spirits could be so smooth and tasty. Quite a welcome change from the sweet bourbon n' shine I've drank since before I was of legal age. Sittin' here sippin' it neat whilst listening to some Hank III Live and perusing how I wanna build me a 6.5G. Might just have to try the black label next trip to the likker store...

Jameson Black Barrel is excellent. The only problem is it’s prone to rapid evaporation. 😉

Tried the 10 year yesterday and was quite impressed. Will be getting more of that and the SiB next trip to the LS.

Tried a bottle of it last evening due to all the hype, recs, etc., plus how much I liked the white label. Hate to admit it but was not as impressed. Maybe the orginal just spoiled me?

Yes it is. Unfortunately they raised the price here in PA.
They want $80 for it now. Used to be around $50.
