Yeah and what's even funnier is when the cat smells dirty clothes on the floor and makes the same face.
But honestly they don't do it because something smells bad, they do it to enhance their sense of smell.... Why do cats open their mouth after smelling something?
When cats smell something and then open their mouth slightly and wrinkle their nose and lips they are exhibiting the characteristic of "flehming". Cats do this as an additional scent function. During "flehming" the cat draws air into its mouth so that the "jacobson's organ" at the roof of its mouth can send signals to the brain regarding the scent of the object. |

My peeve is when nonbody puts the toilet lid down and the damn dog gets to friggin lazy to to go downstairs to his water dish and it's quiet and there you are in bed listening to ........Glurp,slurp.glurp.slurp......................trying to keep from puking in bed!!
