OK I have a retarded question (I know its not a suprise)

I am installing sod this weekend and am curious on how much water I should put in the roller? Do I fill it? Should I roll before I lay sod and then roll again or just roll once the sod has been layed?

Just roll once the sod is down.

As far as water, hoeever much that makes it heavy enough to give it a firm pressing, about 3/4 fullshould work fine.

Don't roll before the sod is down because you want the ground "scuffy"

I just layed a pallet of sod, but I didn't roll it. I just walked all over it. A roller would probably work better, I was just too cheap. Mine turned out good though. Growing like crazy.
I laid St. Augustine. Whatcha puting down??

Whenever I think of someone installing sod I think of my step-grandfather standing on his porch in Phoenix and yelling that at the illegals laying sod in his new yard.

Is he telling them to lay it green side up? If I was him every now and then I would yell IMMIGRATION~!!!!!! just to see them run a little. HAHAHAHAHA.

Kentucky Bluegrass is the most comon here. I will be laying about 1125ft so about 2.5 pallets.
