For those of you who play, you may enjoy this... We took a team down to the Q95 Mad Dog Jimmy Matis all nighter this past weekend. It's a huge event, with 50 some teams from all around. Saw plates from Georgia, Missouri, and Pennsylvania. Best part about it....GunBroker picked us up as sponsors. So, BIG props to them. Man what a blast! 1000's of people, campground was packed. Beautiful park (6 fields). Huge PA annoucing the games. If was neat to hear "GunBroker.com" come over the PA's. We had a ton of double takes when they saw our shirts and heard our names. We drove down at 6pm Friday afternoon. Set up in the campground, first game was a 6am Saturday, then 3pm, then 10 and 11pm. From there we played at 3am, 5am and 6am. We got home at 10am this morning. We've had no sleep since about 11am Friday morning. We had my truck with a trailer and a van set up in the campground. Couple canopies, multiple tents. In between games we'd head out to the campground and cook out, drink, play Bean bags, Washers, football, etc. Saturday afternoon was a hot one. We all got a ton of sun. It was a beautiful weekend. Overall, we were banged up pretty good, dirty, sore, and very tired. Our first game was on Astroturf, which is horrible for you. It was too hot to wear pants, I have a large, weeping strawberry on my left leg from sliding and diving, along with Drew, our thirdbaseman/OF. His leg is all chewed up. We were knocked out near the end of the tourney on a bad call by the ump. We turned a beautiful 4-6-3 double play to end the game with a guy on third base. Ump said the 2nd base wasn't touched (which is a joke as the SS is a college player). The guy on 3rd scored and tied the game. Next batter bombed one to the warning track. Our left fielder (Very solid player) took one step and slipped. They scored from first and won the game. I played 2B all weeked, it's my natural position. We had some GREAT plays. Relays to nail runners out at home, diving stops, our outfielders gunned down numerous runners at the bases. Here are some pictures..... The fields/park....   Team Moms...
