I had never made this connection before...

In True Romance, Clarence is going on and on about Sonny Chiba in Street Fighter and Return of Street Fighter and how great he was. Of course that script was written by Quentin Tarantino.

I finally put 2 + 2 together watching Kill Bill this weekend and realized that Hattori Hanzo is the same guy.

And even better, he actually makes katanas now as a hobby.

I loved the "Street Fighter" movies as a kid. I own them all, but they haven't really held up that well. Guess I was easier to please when I was 12.

I love the theatrical version of True Romance. You can only get it on VHS though.
