Well fellas,
Here's my problem. When I'm playing games (BF1942, CODUO, etc..) My sound will get all messed up. Its a real loud buzzing, screetching, feedback sounding thing. It will only last for a while, and it goes away and the sound will be normal again.
I have a Soundblaster Live! card (PCI). I don't think its the 5.1
I think I have all the latest drivers, but I'll check when I get off work.
I have an onboard sound, but it's disabled.
Any suggestions?

Thanks
Curt

check the audio settings in the games.

you may have to take the sound card out to read the chipset to get the right driver (i did on a SB live card).

Any other programs running in the background? It's possible that spikes in system usage could cause your virtual memory and processor usage to skyrocket for a short time and then cycle back down, with intense sound and graphics sometimes there isnt enought to do it all, and instead of the game slowing down you get sound lag.
