Wasn't sure where to ask this so feel free to move it. I am looking for a source for thin ceramic sheet material. Preferably  1/8" and thinner.

Thanks.

What do you need it for? This would help a bit.

Ceramic tiles might be your best option, but then again we don't know how you intend to use it so maybe not.

Do you want soft or hard material?  How about a hint to the application?

Its a cutting tool I am working on. Must be completely non metallic. I don't believe non-ferrous will cut it. The alumina ceramic looks good but I think a hand held wand would still detect it. It needs to be really thin. I think 1/16" would be perfect but I could work with 1/8" if I had to.

Thanks

I'd think you'd want transformation-toughened zirconia then or YSZ maybe.

That would require some research.  I was expecting something like insulation or a fire barrier!

Just a heads up if you are trying to make a sort of undetectable knife or something of the sort for non-permissive environments. Even if the material is non-ferrous or completely non metallic it will still trip many scanners due to its density. Plastic stuff such as the Grivory offerings by Cold Steel are the densest I feel comfortable with. CF might fly as well depending on the resin used. But beware, metal isn't the threshold always, it can be density. Basically nothing that holds an edge.

You can make a shiv by melting a plastic spoon or Styrofoam cup.

The Glass-Mica Ceramic looks promising. McMaster Carr sells it and a small sheet would go a long way.

True, if I was trying to make a shiv I would do that. It would be way cheaper to.
