[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Spare Bolt Question

So I've been wanting a spare bolt for my SHTF rifle. I've never had any issues with the one in my rifle, but have pondered the thought of getting a chrome MPI bolt from Spikes. I'd swap the chrome bolt in my rifle and use the factory bolt for a spare.

What is the hives opinion on chrome bolts?

Get yourself a cheaper bolt as a spare.

Run the bolt that you have in there now since it's already mated to the barrel extension. Get a HP/MP bolt (skip the chromed) and hang on to it until you need it.
