I have 2 steaks sitting in my fridge for tomarrow.  Normally I through some lawerys seaonsoning and put them on the grill.  I am considering something will a little more ummffffh!  What say you?  I need to marinate these suckers insomthing good!  Let the advice begin!

I like to stick them in a freezwer bag filled with teriyaki sauce, a little garlic and some worchestshire sauce(a little goes along ways), and some honey. Let them marinate overnight. Bring them out to reach room temp before grilling.

Tried a couple New York's marinated overnight with 1/2 c soy sauce and 1/2 c Yoshida's once, and it was tasty!

If you must marinate:

wet rub for two 16oz steaks:

Ingredients:

1 Tsp tamarind pulp
3 oz Extra Virgin olive oil
1 large garlic clove (blanched twice to remove bitterness)  
1 Tsp good quality honey
1/4 Tsp chipotle in adobo sauce
1/2 Tsp worcestershire
1/2 Tsp aged balsamic vinager

Large pinch of kosher salt
Scant pinch of ground szechuan pepper corns

Method:

Blend till smooth.  Rub blend into two 16oz (+/-) steaks for 24 hrs.

i seemed to like maggi sauce(specific soy in squar bottle with tall neck yellow and red label) and montreal steak seasoning


my norm is charcoal, with mesquite chips and montreal steak seasoning.

 I  like ribeyes 1 1/2" thick, put 'em in a ziplock bag with some Dale's, just enough to surround the steak when you squeeze the air out.   www.dalesseasoning.com .  Give it an hour or so and cook medium rare.

Works great with chicken tenders but cut the time to no more than 20 min or they taste like salted pork >G<
