Springfield Ultra Compact 1911 .45
Anybody have one? Like no like? Has a slotted slide & ported barrel. Don't see it on the Springfield website so I'm guessing it's an older/discontinued model? I may be taking one on trade & was wondering weather to steer clear or take it & run? |
| I have one, non-ported with factory night sights. They have(?)/had a couple of different models. Mine is an all steel, bushing-less .45. Shoots pretty well if you really pay attention to follow through. It has been very reliable as to function with one exception; it has a captured, spring within a spring recoil spring which came apart within the first hundred rounds. Springfield replaced it no questions asked (and quickly and politely) and it has ran now for hundreds of rounds flawlessly. Feeds anything including lead swc target ammo. Nice carry pistol though a bit heavy. |
| I have a PC9802LP that I bought a few years ago. Not sure how close it is to what you're looking at. Mine has an aluminum frame and factory tritium sights. It has about 800 rounds through it and has been flawless since the very first round. The short sight radius just means you'll probably be shooting within 25 yards. |
