Are there any programs I can purchase to remove spyware from my computer?

Get this : Ad-Aware

Good product, and it's free.

You can download 'Ad-Aware' and 'Spy Bot Search and Destroy' for free.  Do an internet search.

Use both of them and you will be pretty well covered.

No you wont.

No single product will reliably clean all spyware (or even half) from your machine.  Lavasoft's adaware is a good product, and may find hundreds of objects, but still not even be close to killing spyware on a computer.

The product that comes closest is Giant's (now Microsoft's) AntiSpyware.  Since MS purchased it, it's available for free.

Still not a fix all.  Not even close.

If you REALLY want to clean your machine, read everything here:

http://www.sysinternals.com/

Every spyware case is different and has to be fought differently.  The sysinternals tools are invaluable in recovering a machine that's been compromised.

I run two anti-spywares, 2 firewalls, and AV.

And still the buggers keep invading...

I hope your system has alot of RAM.  software firewalls eat up more ram than spyware and virus's usually.   I would only suggest running one!

Software firewalls work about as good as a boat full of holes in the river.

Trusting Microshit's Anti-Spyware is about as safe as trusting Internet Explorer's updates to actually do something.

Agreed...I look at it this way: if they wanna hack, they're gonna hack...I have enough know how to restore my system if need be and I don't store anything on it that's sensitive...
