Pretty nice, what steel did you use for the targets? I used one that a friend built out of abrasion resistant steel, no pitting with most pistol calibers. I have several mild steel targets and they do pit a bit with most calibers. Easy to replace the parts that wear out in your design, but be warned that you will end up punching a hole thru them sooner or later .

Not sure on the steel for the targets. We picked that up from a friend of ours that wasn't using it. He didn't tell us the type. The rifle target is 2" thick, should hold up for a while. Won't be a problem replacing the pistol targets if we destroy them, though the huge chunk of steel for the rifle will be interesting to replace. It's heavy as shit too. We full expect to eventually punch a hole in the stand at some point. Luckily, the guy I built it with is a certified welder Going to take it out Friday and test it. I'll post a range report for you guys. |
