I know we have some med students and folks in the medical field on the site... What do y'all keep your stethoscope in for transport?
I work in research with human subjects and also spend time 'in the field' working on community/public health initiatives. I don't mind tossing some items in my bag, but I'd rather not risk damaging the bell/diaphragm or tubing on my stethoscope (ADC 601). The manufacturer's cardboard box will definitely not last. I'm leaning towards one of the Maxpedition Razorshell Cases: http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/R-14-RAZORSHELL-25p438.htm Any thoughts? Thanks! |

Around your neck?? It's rubber.... If that's the case, you need to protect your tubing. Oils from you neck will harden and crack it after time. I put a CamelBak insulator hose on my Littman (see avatar). It was a frickin' bitch to get on, but well worth the effort. |

Thanks for the input!

As a side note if you buy an expensive scope have your name engraved on it. They are a high theft item. You're not the first person I've heard say this... The 601 isn't exactly a 'high Dollar' item, but I could definitely imagine it walking off. |
