So I'm a long-time member of a specific board on Babycenter and it is chock full of die-hard liberals. I've always considered this small group of ladies to be very good friends but I admit I've recently begun distancing myself from the board because I'm starting to feel really out of place with our fundamental differences on politics and related issues.
I generally just stay out of the political discussions and keep focused on the whole pregnancy/baby/parenting thing. But this post caught my eye today and made me laugh. The title was, "Have you ever seen this guy?" www.imdb.com/media/rm335319552/nm01... His name is Steven Crowder. He got his start as the voice of Brain on Arthur. He now has his own segment on Fox News and his dad was just in my apartment, ranting about Obama while he looked to buy my sofa. Seriously, what is it with anti-Obama people? Within a minute of being here, he hit every talking point the right could possibly offer. I just sat there with my jaw agape! A little later she posted this: Well, I think he stood me up on the purchase. Maybe the look of abject horror on my face while he was ranting scared him off...or it could be the curse of the fugly sofa. I can't PAY someone to take this thing. So now he's even famous on a libtard board!

Steven's gonna love that.
Isn't it funny how the left illegitimatizes our values and dismisses them as "talking points"? As if none of us hold them as core beliefs or could possibly formulate them by reasoning. Who indoctrinates them that we all receive our instructions from Fox News? I got that shit from my liberal neighbor over a beer recently. Oh yeah, FUCK YO' COUCH! |

Quoted: Quoted: That link goes to some dude born in 1987? Is that right? I don't get it. Oh I didn't even click the link. No, I think that's him, I got thrown by the "Brain" reference (I thought we were talking about Animaniacs |

One of the responses to the OP: I dunno...Fox News is banned in this house. The same password to open the Spice channel is what is needed to open Fox News. And I'd rather catch the kiddos watching Spice than FN.
They're crazy! Yep. It's bad to even entertain the other side's opinion. I watch CNN and occasionally, when I need to vomit, I'll tune in MSNBC, but at least I'm adult enough and open minded enough to entertain the other side's point of view. I also cross check internet info on CNN, ABC News, etc. just to make sure the one side doesn't spin something so that I might miss some important fact. Typical media brainwashes hypocrites. |
