I use to be in the USAR, then the IRR. I thought about re-enlisting but, I did not think it was possible since I ETSed from the IRR in Oct '01. Then I get this letter from an AGR Career Councelor, saying I may be on a stop loss. Anyone else hear of this? I may be gainfully employed from this. (Ahhh! To hear Sergeant Weise in use again by superiors and subordinates. Makes me kind of warm and fuzzy.) Bilster |
| I just got out from stoploss. I was due to get out 19May2002, but got "stoplossed". Basically my terminal leave date sailed 29 years into the future. When stoploss first hit they pushed all of our ETS dates out to 2031. It's just a management tool they use to retain certain skillsets. We used to tell people that we wer "Prisoners of War" or "Captives" of the Army. (keep in mind the POW thing was BEFORE we actually had any). My buddy just got recalled in the Marine Corps. |
