Is there anyway to store a rifle in a minivan low profile? Everybody talks about truck guns or trunk guns. But what about minivan guns? I have looked online but have not found a suitable solution.

I'm trying to come up with a good option for a 2003 Durango. May involve buying another 3rd row seat and gutting the base. Any other ideas?

DUrango's from 2002, 2003 already have a rifle size storage bin in the rear of the vehicle.

The Roof? Out of sight, out of mind? This would be one of my places.

Minivans are pretty spacious, you could probably go a little bigger than an AR.

Mine has storage around the rear wheel wells.
Might be enough for an AR pistol.

What kind of van, OP?

Toyota Sienna. I don't have any stow and go seating. The rear seats can fold down flat though.

I have stow & go seats in my 2006 Dodge. Plenty of room for most anything out of sight.

IDK about low profile but...

But in all seriousness with the craziness going on I'm leaning toward hiding some hardware in the storage cavities in the floor in front of the middle seats of the Honda Odyssey.

I do, it is open though. I don't have a way to conceal anything. Is there a link to the cover?  Concealing the rifle would be a great step in the right direction.

Although it would require leave the third row seats up, in the wife's Routan this leaves a cargo well that would store a lot of stuff. Build a carpeted cover to put over it.

Pile a bunch of shitty old clothes, garbage bags, and food wrappers on top of it. Make it so disgusting that no thief would touch your....... mini van.

If you break an AR down, you can stash it in a surprisingly small space.  Along with a good number of mags.

I'm actually thinking of an SBR, with one of those buffer tube folding thingies.

AR in little backpack.

Depends on the model. My 2007 Honda Odyssey has a storage locker for the second row center seat in the floor that can take a separated AR. With the third row seats up, open or folded, there is a bay nearly 4 feet long and about 12 inches by 12 inches.

All you need is some carpet and a steel sheet cut to size and hinged.

I would build a nice metal box in the back and secure it to the car. Nice and secure and lockable

I would never leave weapons in a vehicle that was being serviced.  Who would?

If you're going to do that, and I still don't recommend it, you'l need this at minimum:

Hose split one time. Had to swap everything to my wife's vehicle. Told the shop

This.  I stored an AR and body armor in my company issue Caravan when I went to Lehigh Acres and Immokalee when I was in FL.  My new Honda has a alcove for a tactical bag and false wall but I miss the van's size.

I have a '06 Sienna that I use as my tactical urban assault vehicle(hauling kids and groceries).

Does anybody ride with you regularly?

I have a .300 BO pistol with 8.5" barrel that I keep on the front passenger seat with the seat back folded down over the gun. It completely conceals the gun and allows easy access.

If you have front or even middle seat passengers, the rear seats fold down well to conceal a full rifle.

The whole issue about having it serviced is another issue that the above method will not provide enough security. Also, park in a garage or remove your weapon every night.
