| Is there anyway to store a rifle in a minivan low profile? Everybody talks about truck guns or trunk guns. But what about minivan guns? I have looked online but have not found a suitable solution. |

Mine has storage around the rear wheel wells. Might be enough for an AR pistol. What kind of van, OP? Toyota Sienna. I don't have any stow and go seating. The rear seats can fold down flat though. I don't have a way to conceal anything. Is there a link to the cover? Concealing the rifle would be a great step in the right direction. |

Depends on the model. My 2007 Honda Odyssey has a storage locker for the second row center seat in the floor that can take a separated AR. With the third row seats up, open or folded, there is a bay nearly 4 feet long and about 12 inches by 12 inches.
All you need is some carpet and a steel sheet cut to size and hinged. |

I would never leave weapons in a vehicle that was being serviced. Who would? If you're going to do that, and I still don't recommend it, you'l need this at minimum: http://www.odysseyauto.com/weapons_security/images/suv-rear-withweapons-locker.jpg Quoted:

DUrango's from 2002, 2003 already have a rifle size storage bin in the rear of the vehicle. Yeah, but looking to store some things where shop techs will not be checking. Had to swap everything to my wife's vehicle. Told the shop manager I was headed to the range when it happened. |

I have a '06 Sienna that I use as my tactical urban assault vehicle(hauling kids and groceries).
Does anybody ride with you regularly? I have a .300 BO pistol with 8.5" barrel that I keep on the front passenger seat with the seat back folded down over the gun. It completely conceals the gun and allows easy access. If you have front or even middle seat passengers, the rear seats fold down well to conceal a full rifle. The whole issue about having it serviced is another issue that the above method will not provide enough security. Also, park in a garage or remove your weapon every night. |
