Just a public service announcement for those of you using Orca and running into blobs. I have been using Orca without issue for months now and then out of the blue I started running into odd blobs all over my prints, totally trashing a 14 hour -10$ in raw material print on an H2. After spending way to much time trying to figure it out, I did. I have been using a several higher quality PLAs for some projects and they all started having a blob issues out of the blue. It turns out Orca changed its seam setting to Random creating what for all the world looked like really messed up from ultra high humidity water blobs-being in Houston and having the tropical storm for the past week, I was sure that was it. If it was not for a slight pattern to the blobs, I would probably still be trying to figure this one out. Switching the seam back to aligned and everything is now good. Hopefully this helps somebody out there. |
