for all you guru's out there what is crossover on an amp mean? and I also have a crossover switch that has hp/full/lp. what does the mean also?

A crossover is an electrical device used to divide an audio signal into sections.  Your amp's settings correspond to:

hp - high pass.  Frequencies above a certain point will be passed along
full - all audio signals will be passed
lp - low pass.  Frequencies below a certain point will be passed along

If you plan to drive a low-frequency driver only, you want the lp setting.

crossover divides the audio signal.
low frequencies usually under 150 hz got to sub.
as far as switches on amp are concerned
need the manual for that.
