| How are 2010 subaru forresters with turbo engine? |
|
I cannot speak regarding the foresters. However, I owned a Subaru Outback (2005) for 94,000 miles.
I loved the handling, drive and surefootedness of this car. Good performance. However, it was one of teh more expensive cars I've owned with regards to service and repairs. Over the course of four years my subaru needed not one but TWO main seal replacements, roughly $2400 in brake jobs, two cruise control modules, suspension work. In addition the electrics SUCKED! Driver side window was iffy, rear hatch door would not reliably close, etc etc etc. It was an expensive car to maintain, but I likely how it handled in snow. However, when it got to 90,000 miles it completely came unglued. Everything was starting to fall apart, and I could see several issues returning again (things I'd already repaired). I was going to need to sink another $3000 or $4000 into it, and it was going to be a complete maintenance hog. I dumped it as fast as possible. One car does not mean all are this way. However, I dont have teh money to spent buying and selling to find a 'good one'. I won't buy another. |

I drive an F350. On a road trip recently, up in them thar hills, I had the pleasure of driving behind a subaru at 20 under the limit in a no passing zone. 30 minutes later, I finally got around the self righteous eco weenies. Holy crap, I get stuck behind another one. This one had dual exhaust. I'll be dammed, he too was driving well under the speed limit. Pulling away from stop signs was as slow as humanly possible. I was so annoyed, I was about to punch my own radio.
The outback is properly named. Because, everybody outback of you in your outback, is gonna be really pissed. |

I have an '02 WRX, from what I've heard the 2.5 turbo engine is pretty stout.
