So who is a Sublime fan here?  Doin' Time just came on on my iTunes, so I began to wonder how many Sublime fans we have here in GD.

I dont think they're overrated. They werent even popular or famous outside of the west coast until after Nowell OD'ed and the band broke up

ETA: I'm never going to try heroin, just listen to Pool Shark or read the lyrics

Around here all the Stoners/Neohippies are like "greatest band evarr"

great band-didn't like them that much when they were really popular, but their music library grew on me.  Ultimately I think Nowell was a very talented individual who died way before his time, could've made some even better music.

He best go run and hide

It is "stupid junky music"

It will teach you something if you try and understand it. It is a story of a culture that is against the system. It isn't a metallica, guns and roses or megadeath. It isn't a music that up holds the values that I would teach my children but it is a music that tells a story and value that we all should understand and take into concidderation. Weather or not we agree with it (I'm SURE most of us do not) It is a reality non the less. Plus it sounds perfect in my speakers.

Go with 40 oz. to freedom. The whole album is great. some of the songs are covers of various artists, Grateful dead, bad religion, etc. but pretty much better than the originals.

Sums it up.

Before I became an ARFCOMer I was known as SublimeFan on a few other boards.

I have all cds plus some bootlegs like the KROQ weenie roast recorded through the sound boards.

If you, like Sublime, check out SLIGHTLY STOOPID

Bradly signed them to his Skunk Label before he died.
