Is there a rule for how far out a subpoena should be served on a witness or wtf does "a reasonable time for preparation and travel" mean?

I can find no definitive time frame.

Wow. I'd assume it's like jury duty.

I'd also do everything I could to say F YOU to having to spend my own money to travel and stay there, etc. That's hundreds, easy.
