Full length trailer is out for the Super 8 movie. Any movie with Spielberg's name attached catches my attention. IMDb
Release date is June 10. What do you think the monster will look like, maybe ET's mean big brother?

Quoted: I don't know if its a bad trailer or what, but that movie just looks horrible to me. Wondering that as well. The teaser trailer made it seem like it was going to be some cool mega monster/action/horror type movie. This latest trailer makes it look like an ET style movie. |

That teaser from last summer where the train crashes and something big beats its way out of the rail car made me go, "hell yeah!" But I see this and I'm picturing kids flying their bikes across the screen in front of the moon while Neil fucking Diamond sings about turning on my heart light. I was hoping for a big scary monster rampaging across the country, but this does not look like it. I'll have to see more before I decide if I'm going to catch this in the theater. |

The teaser made me think of a Cloverfield type of movie. Like you said, now it looks like E.T, with a touch more violence. |

Quoted: After seeing the full trailer, I'm sold! I'll be there on opening night if I can. In all honesty, I see more of classic Speilberg in this than JJ Abrams. Really big Close Encounters vibe from it. Certainly what it seems like. I'll reserve judgment until I see some reviews. |

Quoted: Gosh, y'all are sure some Debbie Downers today! I'm surprised there aren't more people excited after the trailer. Not many old-school Spielberg fans on here right now?I'd much rather see this than Cloverfield 2... Well I think most people expected it to be Cloverfield 2. |

I'd much rather see this than Cloverfield 2... Well I think most people expected it to be Cloverfield 2. So did I till this trailer, to be perfectly honest! Now, you have to admit though, at least the title makes sense.

I'd much rather see this than Cloverfield 2... I do like a lot of Spielberg's older stuff, but this isn't directed by Spielberg, it's only produced by him, isn't it? To be honest, I'm less excited now that I've seen the trailer. The teaser had me thinking this would go on the must-see list. This new trailer has moved it to the wait and see list. |
| I don't know whats with all the Spielberg movie hate 'round here... most of his films revolve around relationships, be they between kids, adults, soldiers, aliens, etc... Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park 2, Schindler's List, Raiders, Temple of Doom, Last Crusade, Saving Private Ryan, The Terminal, Minority Report, and yes even Crystal Skull... And those are just the ones I've seen! |

The latest previews now make it less like ET and more of a monster movie. Not sure what to think. Guess I'll wait till ARFOM reviews it. My impression - Cloverfield meets Close Encounters of the Third Kind Cloverfield - an alien creature you won't get to see much of runs amok in the city/town. Close Encounters of the Third Kind (or Outbreak) - wherein our military takes over our town and becomes worse than the aliens. |

Decent movie and a good "date movie." Not particularly memorable though and I will not be purchasing the Blu-Ray. Probably a good family movie although there is some mild profanity and a scene with marijuana use, but what I thought was a somewhat anti-drug message.

| should have waited for the video, not worth the money for the theater...one fault i noticed, pretty good late 70's time era what with the cars, kids being mildly respectful to adults...etc,BUT!!! the Air Force changed the color scheme on their uniforms in..i think, mid 1977 and did away with the white lettering and white stripes on the pickle suits and used black instead... |

saw it at midnight, loved it. its like the goonies mixed with e.t. but darker. make sure you wait through the end credits. aww what happened after the credits? i think we left before the credits stopped. oh wait, nevermind, after a quick google search i realize that i did in fact see it. quite humorous. |
