I know some of ya'll that aren't from the south don't drink ice tea but I was wondering if there was another addictive chemical in tea besides caffeine? When I don't drink tea in the mornings and drink coffee instead (also caffeinated) I get bad headaches. Just wondering.

You get headaches from dehydration not because you skip out on your tea/coffee. Seriously.
Try drinking water when you have headaches.

you think that's bad? I was enlisted for 8 years, all down south (SC, TX) and picked up a sweet tea habit. They don't sell it up here....

+1
Waking up and drinking Tea or Coffee is just going the exacerbate the problem that you've been asleep all night without drinking any water.  I normally have atleast two glasses of water with my breakfast.  I can drink coffee or tea after that.
