There, I said it. Some one had to. Listening to the first 1 1/2 hour of the memorial service on NPR, and only hear it once, to describe Al Quida.
They weren't the "9/11 Attacks" They were the "9/11 TERRORIST attacks" Yet again, we are losing the language.

Yet another accurate way to phrase it might be to say it was an act of war caried out in the name of Islam.
Regardless of the current social agenda, the fact is that the perpatrators of the attack took their actions in an atempt to cripple America, and they vocally defended their actions citing their religious beliefs. |

Sept 11 was an attack in an ongoing war with radical islam terrorists that had been decades long.
It will NEVER stop on their part. And there was dancing in the streets by radical followers, even in the US. I will never spend a dime of money in Dearborn Mi and f CAIR and anyone who believes even on iota that spews forth from their mouths. Oh, and they were MUSLIM TERRORISTS. After the 9-11 attacks. We mobilized law enforcement and military to protect our national interests. ie, FAA station, power plants, dams and bridges. When I heard BHO say we need to bankrupt the coal power companies, I was like WTF????? This assclown is talking economic terrorism. |

"Radical" implies that they were outside the norm or held to more unique beliefs and I'm not sure that's true.
In 1970 there were 100,000 Muslims in American and today there are more than 9,000,000. In 30 years there may be as many as 50,000,000 Muslims in the USA. At their current rate of growth they will be the majority religion in the world. We can see more young Muslims in the Deerborn, Michigan area now who embrace traditional religious practices such as women wearing head scarfs that we did not see as much of during the 1970s and 1980s. The younger Muslim generation in the USA is becoming more devoute and seperated from the general population. |

The term "terrorist" has become so over-used and watered down that it really has lost its impact, IMO. Now common bank robbers are "terrorists," Tea Party folks are "terrorists," etc. Bassically anybody doing something you don't like is a "terrorist." Just like how "Nazi" doesn't really mean anything anymore. I prefer them to be called what they were, Islamic extremists. Anyone who claims they didn't do these attacks in the name of Islam is a complete fool. |
