View Quote Some of the regular season games for the SEC teams on that list. Alabama has GA and TN. GA has TN, AL and TX. TX has MI and GA. And then factor in the SEC did away with divisions. The SEC championship game will be the two best teams. AL and GA could possibly play each other three times this year. |

Given that Ewers has missed time due to injury both his seasons at Texas, I expect Arch to start a couple games this year. |

6 of the top 8 players for Heisman odds are in the SEC.
Attached File Though that’s just betting odds. ESPN will probably have three different Colorado players in THEIR Heisman top 8 after Colorado wins their week one game as a two score favorite. |

Why would I want to risk a QB/WR/RB or OL/DL injury in what would basically be a meaningless (in the scope of NC contention) SEC Championship game? Let the starters rest, play some of the backups. Perhaps I am looking at it wrong. Enlighten me if my thinking is in error. |

Then both teams go undefeated in the rest of the games. If UGA beats bama again in the SECCG then bama would not get a 1st week bye like they would if they beat UGA. Just on seeding along .... would you rather win and get a higher seeding (#5 - #8) and play a #11 or #12 seed or be the #11 or #12 seed? |

Taking it easy in the conference game means they have to play an extra game if they end up ranking 5-12 going into the playoffs. |

Conf champ does get a bye game, but for a top sec team that's another home game which is big $$$$ too and a treat from the fanbase |

NFL does it to preserve starters, college players will do it to prevent injuries that cost them NFL money. People said more games lessen their importance and we will see it. |

Smart gets $100k for reaching the SEC Championship and an extra $200k more ($300k total) if he wins. That’s a bonus of about 2.3% of his yearly salary. |

Unless you do something REALLY bad, it usually takes a bunch of warnings before the true perma ban hits. |

There was a certain poster in the NFL thread who, according to site staff, received over a DOZEN warnings and multiple temp bans before he was “perma banned.” And then months later, he was somehow allowed back AFTER the “perma ban.” Though it didn’t last long. He was true perma banned not long after his return. |
