I want to say either it was late last year or earlier this year Magpul made a teaser trailer for the new transParent magazines. For those who are in the inside industry, have you heard any news on when these are going to be released to the public?

UPDATE: Magpul Just posted

What's wrong with Lancers? I've had a few of those for many years (to make my Sig 556 look a little more authentic), and they work fine.

Non-transparent mags do not show the .300 Eldest Son round lurking inside your magazine.

I love the Lancers, but they're just too expensive. I have a few and love them, but due to the metal feed lips they'll never be as cheap as PMags.

Don’t worry, they’ve introduced four new-ish carbine stocks that basically only compete with their own products and t-shirts are on sale.

I wish they’d be better about announcing things only when they’re about to ship.  And I think despite their claims to the contrary becoming a lifestyle brand has fucked up their firearm accessory focus.

I complain but I’ll still end up buying some tmags to play with when they finally ship.

As far as I am concerned Lancers are far superior to Pmags.

Lancer clears are $10 recently from a couple vendors (like Midway).  I'm surprised to hear the Magpul ones weren't out, since I thought it would be pressure from Magpul causing the Lancer price reduction.

Spring. Early summer. Late summer. Early fall. Late fall. Before Christmas. After Christmas. Aww fuck it - put it on the shelf next to the Masada and the folding PCC, boys. We'll send out another shirt, instead.

Not owning a .300 BlowOut also solves that issue. Paying attention when loading mags is also a secondary option. YMMV.

It can't be testing. In the other thread that one guy was claiming these are the most tested mags ever. Is Magpul going the way of Boeing?

It was a problem w/ the gun - rifle + 3" gas on a 27" barrel.  Severely undergassed.  Curved 30 round mags w/ constant level followers - Magpuls - fed better than straight 20 round mags - also Magpuls.

Pulled all the weights out of the buffer & added a lightweight carrier, problem solved, will run straight 20s now.  Point remains, constant level follower mags feed better than straight mags.

Sadly, even not permitting such a round in the house doesn't solve the issue of your buddy loading loose ammo into your mags at the range to "help you out".  Or your buddy using his ammo out of his mags at the range when he borrows your gun.

My understanding is they're waiting on the injection molding machine to be available...there has been a part stuck in it they can get out.

Story goes the Magpul FMG was designed circa 2008, and the first production version got stuck in the machine. They needed a screwdriver to open the machine, but no one could find a screwdriver as the shop was buried in piles to t-shirts and sunglasses. As a result, for years they wandered the shop aimlessly unable to produce any new products.

Then in 2021Magpul found out someone at Zev may own a screwdriver, so they partnered to finally get the FMG to market. When the guy from Zev came over with the screwdriver, he was unfortunately fatally buried in a landslide of belts, hats, and stickers.

As a result of these challenges, Magpul has had severe difficulties releasing new products since 2008, and they can't get the machine open that they need for the Tmags. If someone has a screwdriver please reach out to them.
