Anybody have them for their cell phone provider, how do you like them?

They are absolute junk around here. Worst network ever stick to either Verizon or AT&T networks...

I had them and ditched them as soon as my contract was up.  I live in Minneapolis, which is a larger city, and my service was dismal at best.  I go back to North Dakota a lot to see in-laws, and I basically had no service.

Basically, if you plan to stick to major cities all the time, they would probably be OK, probably close to one of the cheaper carriers out there, they are just shit for the most part outside of larger establishments.  Again, this was just my experience with them, take it for what it's worth.

P.S.  I think their phone selection sucks as well.

best network coverage around here.  No complaints

ETA: I have incredible coverage.  Out on the boat, or hunting.  Others ask to use my phone when theirs has no signal.

been a VERY happy customer for 8 years or so. same coverage as everyone else at 1/2 the price.

I have them here in Northern NJ.  As long as I stay in an Urban Area I'm ok

I've been with them for two years - hands down, the best coverage and customer service I've ever had.

Coverage is great in/around Chicago.

I travel to the DC area and it's good there - same can be said for San Jose, CA.

they all suck!

I've been with them (or their prior companies) for nearly 10 years. I wish they had a better selection of phones though. Great reception and coverage.

5 years and counting. Never had a problem with their service. Sure less coverage than others. I can't complain one bit. $49/mo for unlimited everything.

I've had T-Mobile for about 8 years and it is great. I also live away from the big citys in Northern Colorado almost in Wyoming and I get reception all over. Even out in the Pawnee Grass lands.

I have had them since late 2000. No problems but then again I live close to Austin, TX. I even have used my phone in Puerto Rico with no problems or any roaming charges.

I've had T-mobile for 5 years now. Reasonable service for a good price. Phone selection has been horrible but is getting better. I've had all the other carriers and only Verizon has better coverage and customer service.

If you want a fancy phone that you'll pay 20% more to use go AT&T.
If you want great service that you'll pay 20% more for go Verizon.
If you want reasonable service for a reasonable price with a moderately fancy phone go T-Mobile.

Coverage depends on where you live/work/etc.  Price is pretty good.  I've been with them (and their predecessor) for over 10 years and have been very satisfied.  I get better reception at my house with T-Mobile than any of my friends and family on Verizon or ATT.  Phone selection is good, but could be a better.

Have T-Mobile, had good reception until about four years ago...
apparently when AT&T bought out Cingular, contracts between Cingular and T-Mobile for tower sharing got dropped.
Now I don't get reception at my own house.
However, they did give me a free BlackBerry Pearl with no contract extension after a lot of complaining.
Why? bc BlackBerrys and some other phones can use WiFi spots, like my home network, for reception.

Problem solved, as long as I'm in my house.

Great reception in Europe.

I've been using T-mobile prepaid for a couple of years.  Works just fine.

Had T-Mobile for almost ten years, got rid of them in July for Sprint. They have never had coverage in buildings on campus which irritated me. Also did a lot of traveling over the summer through the Western US and very rarely got service. When I did get service it was on some random networks I had never heard of. Of course this was in the deserts of Utah, Nevada, and California on small highways. Usually had spotty coverage along I - 70 that was using the actual T-Mobile network.

Good for me and with the BB Curve I use it all over the world and US with no problems unlike Verizon.

I Dont have coverage at my cabin in Bama but my hunting buddy has coverage so no big deal.

Verizon bunch of asshats couldnt figure out how to turn the roaming on , on my phone so when I went to Europe I had to buy a pay to play phone with the phone set up in SPanish.

I dont speak Spanoish.

Been using them off and on since 97.They work good for me. I like their prepaid. flat 10 cents a minute.

Been using them for about 8 years. No problems unless I'm using a crappy phone which I got rid of. I stick with Motorola phones now.

I have had them for no less than 10 years and have no faults with them.  I used them for an IP for a year until the Internet was wired into the area.  They have always been accommodating and I will stay with them.  Very few areas that I travel do I get a no signal (very rual areas).

We did have a T-mobile contract and dropped it for AT&T.  T-mobiles coverage sucked for us.  We live in a rural area and got no service at all at home.  We do get service with AT&T though.  It seemed like T-mobile only covered large cities and interstate highway corridors.  With AT&T I have called home from some very remote areas.

Well i picked one up.A Nokia 5310,nice phone. So far,the coverage SUCKS and i'm not happy .I LOVE the favorite five, but i'm not sure i can live with the spotty service.I was told the phone is NOT 3G,would another phone make a big difference???As of now-.

nope, if the coverage sucks you cant fix that with a new phone. But some phones have better radios in them, take the sim out and try other phones. Good radios that I have used Moto Razr and iPhone. Bad radios: LG, Samsung and Nokias. You mileage will vary.

3G only matters for internet speed.

I live in the Savannah, GA area and the map shows good coverage but there are lots of dead spots in actuality.  Plus their voicemail messages sometimes take 12-24 hours to be received.

We're switching to verizon once our contracts are up.

you should have 24 hours (or more) to return the phone

If I recall correctly, you've got 30 days to decide if you want it or not.

I think T-Mo finally got their 3g network up and running here. I'm not sure, as I bailed 2 years ago for at&t.

They said i have 14 days to return it with no penalty.I don't have perfect credit, and not alot of $ to use as a deposit for Verizon for example. What a PITA.Any recomandations would be great.

I switched from Sprint to T-mobile. Sprint was ok, but they were more expensive, and they had TERRIBLE customer service.

I get great reception, and the phone works fine for me. Granted I live in a urban area and everyone gets great reception here.

The few times I wandered out into the boonies it worked pretty good though.

I have had them about nine months now. Coverage is fine where I go.

I am using an unlocked phone, but I have read elsewhere that they won't let you do that now––you're only supposed to use the phones you get from them.

Also I had a generic $20/month limited data/messaging plan up until last month, and they shut that down and I had to switch to paying $35 a month, but now it's unlimited data and messages (but still no tethering allowed).

I switched from T-Mobile to Verizon a while back. With T-Mobile, I didn't have dead spots. I occasionally lucked up on spots where I could place or receive calls.

I use T-Mobile prepaid.  I have an unlocked phone I bought overseas.  T-Mobile is the only company in the US that will still sell you a pre-paid rechargeable SIMM card without selling you a phone as well.

i have travelled all over the country the last 10 years with mine. NEVER had an issue with service anywhere. then again i stick to motorola and BB devices.

cheaper phones usually equals crappy reception.

Not a lot of coverage. Had to switch to sprint. Where I live now, we didn't get any reception. Glad they didn't make me pay the 400.00 early disconnect fee(2 new blackberries and renewed contract).
