I am tired of having to haul the huge laptop I have for work.  All of the offices forms are on Word.  I have been researching about what tablets have MS Word compatibility.  I am looking for a tablet that I can put all of our departments forms on, create and edit and save (also to a thumb drive).  This way when I get back to the office I can take the thumb drive in, print my paperwork off and get the completed forms to my supervisor.  I am looking through sales papers, the net, and craigslist.  I did find a Microsoft RT (I think it was named that) for $375.  Does that sound too good to be true?  What should I be looking for?

I think it is a little cheap, they were having a sale like 399 or something like that, but not outrageous.

I think asus or the other a one was making knock offs running surface RT software as well.

you dont want Windows 8 RT.  Get one with Windows 8.   intel processor.  Asus brand is good.  Sold at Best Buy so you can handle one in person.

RT cannot run traditional Windows applications, only the metro style apps available in Microsoft's online store.  It can run a metro version of Office, but not full-blown office like you'd have on a desktop computer with Windows 7 or Windows 8.

I have the Dell latitude 10. Dual core atom processor. Full windows 8, and a removable battery. You can also get the extended battery. Its quick and works well for me.

Just get a small portable laptop.  Like the thinkpad x131e (intel cpu) or lenovo yoga 11s.
