It's finally getting cold so I'll be needing a Jacket... Looking for something tacticool and stylish, you guys got any suggestions? |
|
+1 I have a very nice softshell from TAD gear and it's made n USA. I prefer the rhinohide over the sharkskin (two of their material choices). The rhinohide is very tough material and suitable for the kind of outdoor adventures I like. The sharkskin would end up shredded for me. |

| Tad gear is way to much. 5.11 jackets are nice also try Truspec. I am a quartermaster and deal with both companys I have the 5.11 Agressor parka and the sabre jacket both are very functional and look nice. Our department uses 5.11 3 in 1 jackets and their 5 in 1. Hope this helps. |

This. I always thought they were overpriced but after getting a jack from them in trade I am convinced they are 100 percent worth it. |

TAD Gear has a high quality product and lousy customer service. If you get the item and there is a problem with it, i.e. wrong size etc good luck returning it. Buyer beware. I returned a softshell no problem. I didn't like the material for my particular intended use as much as the material of a TAD Gear item I already had (I thought they were more similar). Made a phone call, packaged it up with a brief note and got a very prompt refund. It was only tried on and still had the tag on it so I guess that helps but it was about as good of a customer service experience I could ever hope for as far as returning an apparel item goes. TAD Gear is GTG. |

TAD or Arcteryx are the Shiizznit, TAD recently dropped their prices because some of their stuff is being made overseas now, but is still the same quality. I was happier with Arc'Teryx before Salomon bought them. I have pre-Salomon Arc'Teryx backpack, fleece, fleece vest, shell jacket, shell bib, knee pads and they are all awesome. The post Salomon purchase stuff seems good but not superb to me. I don't know about their military/LE line...I've heard it's good but doubt it's like the old days. |

This! They have awesome stuff. I mainly want this http://www.tadgear.com/shop.php?id=619 The nice thing about TAD is it's water-proof outdoors/operator goodness. |

This is about as "tactical" as I get. http://www.gearcrave.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/woolrich.jpg Quiet, extremely durable, warm dry or wet, and a decent enough disruptive pattern. I really like my woolrich field coat. If you could get that in black and white plaid, it would be the cat's ass, eh. You're not from the U.P. are you? |
