How do I post these slides? I shit you not, this is worth seeing!!! I'd email it to someone if they'll post it. thanks. This was sent from the USS John C. Stennis. The aviator was the strike element lead on this attack and received these pictures as a "thank you" from the forward air controllers on the ground. It is an example of a joint, combined arms operation. A Taliban/ al-Qaida armored vehicle (ex-Russian BMP) with troops embarked and riding on top is targeted by forward air controllers (FAC's) of the US Army, 4th Special Operations Group. A flight of two Navy F-14 Tomcats are called in by the Army FAC's and strike the vehicle nearly simultaneously with GBU-16 laser guided bombs. As a bonus, there is a nice secondary explosion in the middle of the road, towards the end of the set. |

Gawd... how many more people are going to show this clip... 2010: "Ooh, look, there is this cool video of US special forces directing a USMC robotic gunsled using it's railgun to destroy this South African BMP! We are definitely kicking ass and taking names in the UN Cape Pacification campaign! Just like Iraq in 2002, and Colombia in 2007! Go America!" [rail] [frag] [50] Ban all videoclips. For the children.[rolleyes] |
