there was a thread within the last three months about this, but I am too lazy to look it up for you.  There was some conflict about the ingredients in that thread.

Basically its something-nitrate, fine aluminum powder, and some stabilizers.  Lots of help, I know.  Finding both the primary ingredients is getting problematic, and you will need a ball mill to get things fine enough if your roll your own.

I think I would buy from a known source before I mixed up something that was a lot more shock-sensitive than I expected, though.

My shooting partner is a chemist by major.  He says if we can find the recipe that most likely we can make it.

A member posted a homemade recipe a while back, then later on tried to sell the recipe on a CD-ROM for money.  BUT, some of us had already quickly cut & pasted the original thread into a word doc.  When other's later reposted his recipe he cried foul and it got ugly.

I'm not posting anything further since the last thread turned into such a shit storm...
