Just ran across reference to this pistol. Anyone have experience using it or know someone who has to give a synopsis?

I've had good experiences with Taraus 20 years ago.  Not so much in the past 5.  Had a 709 that went back 2 times for failure to extract.  Sold it on the last return.  Buddy had a CIA (revolver) that would lock up due to burr under ejector ring.

I would be hesitant to buy anything with a mag well that funky.

Discriminatory.  Where are the left handed ones?

I handled one at the last show, interesting concept, but execution is lacking...

Cheap construction, awkward in every way possible, and no actual sights.

Never shot one.  Saw it when it first came out and thought it was a cool concept for ladies in particular but I have no desire to own one.

They can't seem to make a normal pistol that will work reliably.  No way am I going to trust a curved one for self defense.

They are without a doubt just strange in a clunky awkward way. It is supposed to be the ultimate concealment pistol but this thing is  bulky, albeit not huge.

The sights consist of crosshairs on the rear of the slide that you sight through the gun with. Honestly it is a valid concept and likely works well with a defensive pistol but again, comes across as strange.

We have two on the shelf at the shop I part time in. I hope we can sell them.

They knew left handed shooters are too smart to be interested in that POS.

They come out with good concepts at Taurus, but their workmanship fucks it all up. Friends don't let friends.........

that's the thing its really not curved that much.

if you put it next to any of the other small single stacks its maybe 1/4  if and inch curved at the end of the butt.

no where near enough to not print when a standard pistol would have.

Interesting idea, but I haven't read a single review where the author didn't experience multiple problems with feeding and/or extraction.  It's supposed to be a kind of 'last ditch' gun that can save a person't life.  Hard to do that if it won't feed or fire.

The trigger on every one I handled before the recall was absolute shit.

I've got an 851 CIA that I need to send back. It will lock up every so often, and not on the  same cylinder. Won't do it when it's unloaded and dry-firing, or when it has fired brass in it, only on fresh rounds.

I've fixed a few similar Taurus issues for various people, it's almost always burrs on the ejector ring index teeth and takes 10 seconds with a pocket knife or a jewler's file.

You'd have to pull the horrible trigger and have it actually discharge first.

I shot one.  I wasn't impressed. The lack of sights and the fact that the whole pistol is curved just weirds me out.

I would like to take one to the range and test it. I would like to carry one for a week or so to see if I like it.

I would not buy one to experience the above in fear that I would not like it.

Since when did you need to pull a trigger for an AD on a Taurus?

It's an answer to a question that no one has asked.
I saw one last week, it's pretty stupid.

What he said. I own a Taurus and stopped carrying it long again because I don't trust them after the drop and fire lawsuit.
If my wife didn't like the size and comfort of it, I'd already tossed it.

The curve is DAO hammer fired, unlike their cop-capping 24/7 line
